Are you the parent/carer of a young person aged 8-16 who is interested in history and archaeology? We’re hoping to set up a Solihull Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) based at the Core in Solihull town centre.
The club will be free to join and events at the Core will be free of charge to attend.
If you’re interested, please complete a membership application form (attached below) and return it to any Solihull library (or send it back by post or email).
By returning the membership form, you’re not committed to anything but you’ll be among the first to be contacted with details of forthcoming events. We’re expecting the group to meet monthly on a Saturday morning 10:30am-12pm.
If you visit Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens on the afternoon of Thursday 13th August 2021, there will be an opportunity to speak to archaeologists, and to find out what an archaeologist does. Adults are welcome at this event, too (the event is free of charge, but the usual fee applies for admission to the gardens).
If you need any further information, please let us know. To find out more about YACs across the country, have a look at the Young Archaeologists’ Club website. The Young Archaeologists’ Club and Wessex Archaeology will be running a free event at Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens for children aged 8-16 and an accompanying adult on Friday 14th August at 10:30am. Booking is essential and includes free entry to the gardens.
